The main OII website
The OII website contains information about the department, people, and projects.
Updating your ‘people’ page
The OII initially sets up your ‘people’ page, but you can then make edits yourself during your time at the department. Just send us an email at webhelp@oii.ox.ac.uk to arrange a time and we’ll set you up with access and talk you through the editing process.
If you wish to make a change in your status on your ‘people’ page, send a request through our update page.
If you have publications, you should add and claim them on Symplectic. They will then automatically be pulled through to your ‘people’ page when the systems update and synch. If you have any questions about adding publications on Symplectic, please contact Research Facilitation.
Updating or adding other content
Most updates to www.oii.ox.ac.uk are not made by the web team, but by other members of the admin staff. If you need something added on the site, all requests should be sent through our update page.
Our satellite sites
We build, host and maintain other websites – for projects, conferences, academic blogs, etc. These are WordPress sites, created with our house theme and approved plug-ins. To better understand what we provide and support please read our web support policy.
To request a site, please fill in our website request form.
Once built, our satellite sites are kept up-to-date by the site owner. They should be approached in the first instance if you wish content updated on a site.
Wikis
Some projects and groups require wiki space for collaboration. We can set you up a space on wiki.oii.ox.ac.uk if required.
